Breaking News

26 December 2014 -- Today the Christmas Season collapsed in total exhaustion and was rushed to the emergency room. Unfortunately, the collapse occurred just as the Christmas Season was beginning. It seems the Christmas Season had been infected with a strain of the lucrum virus, which ended the life of the Advent Season a few weeks ago. The doctors said that when the Christmas Season arrived at the emergency room it was severely dehydrated and completely...

An Overlooked Obituary

On the evening of November 29, 2014, after a long and serious struggle with the deadly lucrum virus, the Season of Advent collapsed and was officially declared dead. Immediately after the declaration of death, festive decorations were put up and joyous holiday music was played everywhere to make sure no one missed it. The Season, which not too long ago was vibrant and capable of going strong for four weeks, had been growing weak in recent...

Opinions Anyone?

In the nearly 20 years I have been a priest I have repeatedly engaged in discussions with fellow Catholics on issues that go directly against Church Teaching, or that regard the acceptance of practices that have no place in the Church. As I have learned over the years, more often than not, most people do not want to hear what the Church Teaches on those subjects, and do not care what documents can be cited. Even when...

Transparent?

It is interesting how the transparency of the current synod on the Family has led to wild conclusions across the board, as if this particular synod had authority and power greater than Jesus HImself. Unlike previous synods, this one has allowed the internal discussions and publications to be available to the public. In this regard, Pope Francis obviously enjoys being more transparent, as can be seen in the many interviews he has granted. There is a...

To March or Not to March?

Forget about the classic Shakespearean question, "To be or not to be?" The question of the day is, “To march or not to march?” Recently, there has been a great deal of discussion regarding the St. Patrick’s Day parade in New York City next year. At issue is the admission of a gay advocacy group that will march under its own banner walking behind Grand Marshal Cardinal Dolan. Upon hearing this announcement, there were plenty of...

We Fight the Good Fight

A Letter from the Trenches   To Mr. Michael Voris, STB Founder of ChurchMilitant.tv   Dear Mr. Voris, It is obvious that you have a passion for the Catholic Church and have put the passion forth. I thank you for your insights and want you to know that I agree with your assessment of the situation we find ourselves in today. I can confirm that there is a very liberal ilk of priests and religious, including...

Never Forget

That Jesus Christ is Lord! For centuries, the Catholic Church has been the epicenter of where memorial services take place when someone dies, until now. In fact, the very reason the Church exists is because Christ Himself said, “Do this in memory of Me.” Yes, the power of memory, and to be able to share memories, is what separates human beings from other species. From the very beginning of time, humans have known God and have...

The Beat Goes On

Archbishop Cordileone Speaks Up on Marriage  The National Organization for Marriage, a non-profit group that formed in 2007 to lobby in defense of traditional marriage, has arranged a march in Washington D.C. for June 19. This will be the second such march, which they have made an annual event. The organization planned the march in order to stress the need for traditional marriage, that is, a permanent bond between one man and one woman. It should...
